Emerson Cup Draws Quality Entries and Promotes Industrial Design

Design Application Competition Begins

Beijing, China, June 15, 2007 – Emerson Climate Technologies, a business of Emerson (NYSE:EMR) announced that the 2007 Emerson Cup Digital Scroll Central Air Conditioner Design Application Competition officially begin to collect entries today.

The 2007 Emerson Cup Digital Scroll Central Air Conditioner Design Application Competition will be organized by Emerson Climate Technologies, and supported by the HVAC Technical Committee of the Architectural Society of China, the Air Conditioners and Heat Pump Technical Committee of the Chinese Association of Refrigeration, and HVAC magazine.

According to the organization committee, the competition will begin to collect entries on June 15, and deadline for entry collection is September 30. There will be four phases, including entry submission, preliminary assessment, qualifying, and finals. The entries will be evaluated from early September to end of October. It is designed for the three groups: Engineers, including designers at design institutes (and college faculties); dealers, who distribute and sell Digital Scroll central air conditioners; and students, including college students majoring in architecture environment and equipment, and other relevant areas. 26 projects will share the prize of RMB 160,000.
